a local eatery?
The Alumni Association is researching an exciting new idea -- a food trail of alumni-owned (or managed) local eateries! Bucks Named 2022 Bellwether Finalist
We're proud to announce that Bucks County Community College has been named a finalist for the 2022 Bellwether Awards! The Bellwether College Consortium recently announced its list of 30 community colleges selected as 2022 finalists for the highly coveted Bellwether Awards in the first round of competition, and we're excited to be a part of that group.
Bellwether finalists represent leading community colleges whose outstanding and innovative programs and practices were selected among competitive submissions as exemplary. The finalists will undergo a rigorous second and final round of review at the 28th Annual Community College Futures Assembly from January 30th to February 1st of 2022.
The following nine institutions have been named finalists in addition to Bucks:
- Blinn College District
- Community College of Baltimore County
- El Paso Community College
- Horry-Georgetown Technical College (HGTC)
- San Diego Mesa College
- South Mountain Community College
- Tulsa Community College
- University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana
- Yavapai College
All finalists will be presented at the 2022 Community Colleges Futures Assembly and one winner will then be selected from each category by a panel of national experts. The assembly, now in its 28th year, convenes annually as an independent national consortium for key higher education leaders to work as a “think tank” in identifying critical issues facing the future of community colleges, and to recognize Bellwether winners and finalists as trend-setting institutions. The Bellwether College Consortium Futures Assembly kicks off the signature event on Sunday, January 30, 2022.
The Bellwether College Consortium is a group of colleges charged with addressing the critical issues facing community colleges through applicable research and the promotion and replication of best practices addressing workforce development, instructional programs and services, and planning, governance, and finance.

First-Gen College Student Celebrations
November 8, 2021 marked National First-Generation College Celebration, and across all 3 of our campuses we held a series of events to honor our amazing first-gen Bucks students.
Students received free swag bags with Bucks merchandise. We also kicked-off our first-gen student club and hosted an incredible first-gen panel featuring current Bucks students, staff, and alumni who shared stories about the impact of being a first-gen college student.
Thank you to everyone who helped to make these events a success!
